The indie distributor grabbed all North American rights to the Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris-starring drama for a spring 2012 theatrical release.
TORONTO – Entertainment One has picked up the North American distribution rights to writer/director Dustin Lance Black’s Virginia.
Toronto-based eOne acquired all media rights to the Jennifer Connelly, Emma Roberts and Ed Harris-starrer about a charming yet mentally ill mother, and the married Mormon sheriff who may be the father of her son.
“We’re excited to add Virginia to our 2012 slate and thrilled to have found a film that complements both our Canadian and US line-ups so well,” Dylan Wiley, vp of theatrical marketing and distribution at eOne Films US, said Tuesday.
eOne plans a spring 2012 release for Virginia.
