Candids >> 2012 >> out around Columbus Circle in NYC (3/21)
Emma sat down with HollywoodLife.com to talk about the ‘Seventeen’ magazine Pretty Amazing contest that she is judging and she spilled some great beauty secrets!
Emma Roberts, a Neutrogena brand ambassedor, explains how she keeps her skin clear — even with her hectic schedule — and what little pink sponge she counts as a beauty essential.
How do you keep your skin care routine consistent with such a hectic schedule?
“For me, the one thing I always do is wash my face before I go to bed no matter what. Even if I get home really late, or I just got off a flight and I’m feeling lazy, I always was my face because the next day you just feel bad and my skin always gets really dry. So for, no matter where I am, just wash your face before you go to bed. It literally takes like 3 minutes and it’s just worth doing. I’ve totally not done it before, and just gone to sleep and I wake up and I just regret it so much.”
Do you prefer to get glam for an event or go casual?
“I like casual for everyday but I feel like when I go to events why not get glamorous. If you have an excuse it’s fun to be glamorous sometimes.”
What beauty goodies do you have in your purse right now?
“I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to beauty products on the go. I use the Neutrogena MoistureShine Gloss, because they come in all these different colors and they feel good. They don’t dry your lips out. And then I use the BeautyBlender, that pink sponge. It’s my favorite thing. You have to get it wet, put it under warm water and then squeeze it out really well and then it just makes your foundation go on really dewy and nice. I love it! I bought like 5 of them because I always have one in my bag all the time. Because it’s so easy for a touch up. When you’re out, your hands get dirty, you don’t want to touch your face.”
The Pretty Amazing contest, sponsored by Neutrogena, encourages girls to submit a personal story and photo to win a chance to be on the October 2012 cover of Seventeen, a trip to New York and a $20,000 sholarship. Learn more about the contest at seventeen.com!
