Ashby stars Mickey Rourke and Nat Wolff with Emma having a supporting role. Awkward Ed Wallis (Nat Wolff) needs help fitting in and turns to his neighbor Ashby Holt (Mickey Rourke) for help. Ashby’s unforgiving brand of tough love soon tests their friendship, and it hardly helps when Ed learns that Ashby is a former CIA assassin. The film will make its debut at the Tribeca film festival in New York in April so hopefully soon will see a theatrical release (most likely limited).

WILMINGTON — It was a busy day for filming in downtown Wilmington. Special effects and big stars filled Front Street for the filming of “We’re the Millers,” but some business owners say the film traffic does not translate into traffic for their stores and restaurants.
There were some familiar and famous faces populating Front Street Monday afternoon.
Stars like Jason Sudeikis and Emma Roberts were on hand for some special effects scenes being shot downtown.
And while crowds came out to see the stars, some local business owners say Hollywood coming to Wilmington is more of a hindrance than a help.
“I’ve had some customers mention they’ve been stopped on the sidewalk, asked not to pass through, things like that, or divert to a secondary street. For some people that’s enough to make them turn around and go back,” said Paul Brown, owner of Java Dog Coffee House.
More than 600 residents and businesses downtown were warned they may lose water pressure while rain scenes were shot, but most said they didn’t notice a problem.
What Brown said he did notice Monday was a lack of business, even with signs that were put up by the movie’s crew informing people businesses were still open.
“A lot of people don’t see the signs, don’t read the signs, I’ve found in my experience,” Brown said.
But not everyone agrees. Some store employees said the cameras rolling outside actually bring film fans inside.
Assistant Manager at F.I.F.I., a downtown boutique, Cindy Stanforth said, “It’s just had people coming downtown who maybe wouldn’t have been. They stop in and ask lots of questions about what’s filming.”
When it comes down to it, Stanforth said any traffic downtown, whether people are shopping or not, is better than no traffic. And with tourists and locals alike swarming scene locations for a glimpse of their favorite actors, foot traffic won’t be a problem.
Some store owners also blame downtown road construction for periods of slower business.

Sony Pictures Classics could have a late-summer hit on its hands with Lee Toland Krieger’s “Celeste and Jesse Forever,” which scored a very strong debut in limited release. Its $28,003 per-theater-average blew away the much less impressive debuts of Millennium Entertainment’s “The Babymakers” and Magnolia’s “360.”
Notably, the weekend also saw Wes Anderson’s “Moonrise Kingdom” top the $40 million mark, inching toward replacing “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” as the highest grossing specialty release of 2012.
Check out the full rundown below.
“Celeste and Jesse Forever” (Sony Pictures Classics)
Sony Classics’ Sundance pickup “Celeste and Jesse Forever” was released on 4 screens this weekend to one of the year’s best limited debuts. The film — written by real-life best friends Rashida Jones (who also stars) and Will McCormack — grossed $112,011, averaging $28,003. That gave it the fifth best average of the year, behind “Moonrise Kingdom,” “To Rome With Love,” “Beasts of the Southern Wild” and “Bernie” — all of which are not bad company to be associated with.
“Celeste and Jesse” stars Jones, Andy Samberg, Elijah Wood, Emma Roberts and Ari Graynor. It follows a separated couple (Jones and Samberg) who try and remain best friends after breaking up. Sony Classics will expand the film significantly through August.
Happy it’s getting some great reviews! Check out more dates/theaters here! IF playing near you then go see it!
