The story follows two girls (Keirnan Shipka and Lucy Boynton) whose parents mysteriously fail to retrieve them for winter break at their prep school. As a haunted woman named Joan (Emma Roberts) makes a bloody pilgrimage to the prestigious girls’ school, the stranded duo become plagued by terrifying visions and possessed by an unseen evil force.
