It’s pretty obvious that Emma Roberts is becoming a style icon. The young starlet has a knack for pairing cool outfits with chic accessories … and let’s be honest, she has the dream hair we all wish for. So it makes a lot of sense that Elkin, an LA-based brand designed by sisters Brit and Kara Smith, would choose Roberts as a muse. Oh, and they all happen to be best friends too.
“It’s funny because when we started Elkin, we knew exactly who our girl was and what she was about … and now she has a face,” explained Kara Smith via email. “Emma has such a wild, fun, creative mind like us and she really identified with this collection. There was no one better to have around us during the FW14 design process and there was obviously no one better to model it.”
The trio hung out together conceptualizing the fall line, which is comprised of flowing dresses, tailored tops and cute separates inspired by a ’60s-meets-’90s aesthetic. “It’s classic but it also injects elements of decades past, using the ’90s and ’60s as some of [Emma's] (and our) favorite eras to play with,” Brit Smith wrote to us. “The three of us always talk about how we love a dark, ’90s witchy look mixed with a classic ’60s French-inspired boarding school girl sort of look. So we merged these two looks for this collection.”
The lookbook was shot at the Paramour Mansion in Silver Lake, California, a locale that’s been everything from a school for girls to a movie set. “It felt like the three of us were playing dress up and running through Miss Havisham’s house or ‘The Secret Garden.’ It was like being at sleepover camp with your best friend … we were constantly laughing.” See the results of their fun day below.

FX’s anthology series finally set a date for the upcoming season. E! News has confirmed that Freak Show will premiere Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 10 p.m.
But that’s not all! The network also debuted the first official teaser for season four, and it’s as creepy as you’d expect from a show that revolves around the last freak show in America in 1952.
Watch the clip above…if you dare!
Yeah, we’re not exactly sure who—or even what—that creepy hand belongs to, but you can be sure as hell that teaser just got us that much more excited for the new season.
Freak Show is set in the quiet, sleepy town of Jupiter, Fla., and is about a troupe of curiosities that has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. The performers will begin their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience. Plus, there’s also going to be the most terrifying clown ever, according to executive producer Ryan Murphy. (Because clowns aren’t scary enough already, right?)
The attraction is run by Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange) and features conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler (Sarah Paulson), strongman Dell Toledo (Michael Chiklis) and Jyoti Amge, the world’s smallest living woman. Freak Show also stars Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Patti LaBelle, Wes Bentley, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Jamie Brewer.
Emma was called out by Ashley Benson and Kevin McHale for the ALS ice bucket challenge that has been spreading around twitter/facebook/instagram! The rules are you say who challenged you then nominate 3/4 people (Emma choice Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Karah Preiss) to challenge and if they complete the task within 24 hours they just donate $10 dollars if not then is $100, or you can do both!
Check out a photoshoot below Emma did for latest issue of I-D Magazine, will add scans as soon as possible! We also have a Levis shoot to look forward to via Emma’s last Instagram post!
