More Fendi Baguette Campaign & AHS:1984 Release Date

Added HD captures from the Fendi #baguettefriendsfoever campaign video featuring Emma plus Amanda Seyfriend, see link below! More photos from the campaign added below! Also below is another interview for the campaign, not sure it’s a repeat. It has been announced today that AHS: 1984 will premiere on September 18, 2019 (Wednesday) on FX network!

The latest short movie in the #BaguetteFriendsForever series places friendship at its core while celebrating the iconic bag. BFFs and style icons Emma Roberts and Amanda Seyfried feature in the new video, which captures the duo exploring the world of Fendi and bonding over their shared love for fashion. The movie was filmed at the Fendi flagship store on New York’s Madison Avenue, which housed a Baguette party during the latest fashion week in February 2019.

We caught up with the actors for their take on Fendi, friendship, and future projects:

ELLE: The Fendi Baguette is all about friendship—what does this mean to you?

Emma Roberts: I love sharing clothes and bags with my girlfriends and the Baguette is the perfect bag to borrow or lend. It’s timeless and chic, yet fun.

Amanda Seyfried: Friendship means connecting on most levels as human beings… sharing ideals, styles and attitudes.

ELLE: What’s your favourite place in New York to go to with your best friends?

ER: I love to go to the McNally Jackson bookstore and then lunch at Sant Ambroeus on a weekend. I also love to check out what’s happening at The Guggenheim. For my birthday, I went to the Hilma af Klint exhibit with my best friend and I was literally blown away.

AS: My favourite place in New York is the ABC Carpet & Home store. I love to go there with my friends and look around.

ELLE: What does Fendi mean to you?

ER: Fendi is the ultimate mix of classic with trends. I remember seeing the Baguette on Sex and the City and I coveted one for years after, until I got my first one at a vintage shop in New Orleans.

AS: For me, Fendi means exquisite and tailored [creations] and it represents the Italian craftsmanship.

ELLE: What makes the Fendi Baguette special to you?

ER: The Baguette bag can go with anything like a simple pair of jeans and T-shirt, or a dress.

AS: The Baguette bag is soft and can play as both casual and cocktail. It’s a perfect bag for everyone because it comes in all kinds of sizes, colours and materials.

ELLE: How do you like to style your Fendi Baguette?

ER: I love to mix my Baguette bag with a vintage slip-dress or denims. I like the contrast of mixing a high-end piece with something vintage.

AS: I feel like the Baguette goes with everything. There is no need to style it as it stands out as it is.

ELLE: What makes it special to be part of this project with each other?

ER: Amanda and I had the best time at the Fendi event in NY. We hadn’t seen each other in a while and we just laughed and caught up. Amanda is so funny and has a contagious energy about her. Anytime you can mix work and friendship, it’s a win.

AS: It was great to work together with Emma on this Fendi project because she’s herself, easy to connect with, madly funny, bold and no-nonsense. I love working with women I respect and connect to. It feels powerful and fun.

ELLE: What projects do you have upcoming that we can look forward to?

ER: I’ve been working on the new season of American Horror Story, Netflix’s Holidate and returning to my horror roots with The Hunt for Blumhouse and Universal.

AS: I have been working on Simon Curtis’s The Art of Racing in the Rain, releasing in September, and David Koepp’s You Should Have Left, releasing this fall.
