Emma Roberts, Chris Messina and Ari Graynor have signed on to join Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg in the romantic dramedy “Celeste and Jesse Forever“.

Lee Toland Krieger (“The Vicious Kind”) is directing the indie from a script by Jones and Will McCormack.

Story follows a young divorcing couple (Jones and Samberg) who try to maintain their long-standing friendship while living together and pursuing other relationships.

Roberts will play a starlet who, when her career sags, helps the protagonist come out of her shell by hiring her to revamp her image. Messina plays a financial analyst who helps Celeste get over Jesse, while Graynor will play Celeste’s best friend from college who’s uncomfortable with her unusual arrangement.

Jennifer Todd and Suzanne Todd are producing for Team Todd along with Lee Nelson for Envision Media Arts. Project was previously set up at Fox Atomic and Overture Films before those companies shuttered.

Roberts recently starred in “Scream 4″ and will soon be seen opposite Freddie Highmore in Fox Searchlight’s “The Art of Getting By.”

Messina last starred in the M. Night Shyamalan-produced “Devil” and can currently be seen in “An Invisible Sign.” Thesp next stars in Par’s “Like Crazy” and the indie rom-com “The Giant Mechanical Man.”

Graynor recently appeared alongside Hilary Swank in “Conviction.” Thesp next co-stars in a pair of Fox comedies, “What’s Your Number?” and “The Sitter.”

Roberts is repped by CAA and Sweeney Management, while WME reps Messina. Graynor is repped by UTA and Principal Entertainment.
