You heard it here first! Emma Roberts will be the next star to document the stylish journey of her Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress, and InStyle.com has a sneak peek at her campaign. The brand is partnering with the actress as part of von Furstenberg’s Global Influencer Program Journey of a Dress, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of the label’s iconic wrap dress that debuted in 1974.
“I first met Diane a year ago, where I got to be her guest at the Met Ball,” Roberts says. “I just remember being so excited to meet her because she’s such a fashion icon.”
The star is no newbie to von Furstenberg’s creations, having been a fan for years. “My first wrap dress I got as a teenager, and I remember wanting it so bad. I just fell in love with it,” she states. “My favorite thing about the wrap dress is just how timeless it is. It just never goes out of style.”
In February, the designer launched the digital campaign that follows her wrap dress around the world. The project, which kicked off with Coco Rocha, features a series of stylish influencers taking their von Furstenberg New Jeanne Two wrap dress in classic black-and-white chain link ($345; dvf.com) on a global tour.
