Ashby stars Mickey Rourke and Nat Wolff with Emma having a supporting role. Awkward Ed Wallis (Nat Wolff) needs help fitting in and turns to his neighbor Ashby Holt (Mickey Rourke) for help. Ashby’s unforgiving brand of tough love soon tests their friendship, and it hardly helps when Ed learns that Ashby is a former CIA assassin. The film will make its debut at the Tribeca film festival in New York in April so hopefully soon will see a theatrical release (most likely limited).

In Adult World, Emma Roberts—you know, Julia’s niece—plays Amy, an aspiring poet who’s fresh out of college and frustrated by the lack of instant literary fame and success she deserves expected and her day-job at a sex-toy shop. In the real world, she’s sharp, funny, and so over texting. We rang up Roberts to talk about the film and why you should just pick up the phone already.
Adult World tackles all those millennial stereotypes that are out there.
There’s just so many things in the movie that are so true! It’s my generation: you grow up in this world of everyone’s told that they’re going to change the world and very few actually can and do. And, also, in this weird world of the Internet and Instagram and Twitter and texting—it really has a weird effect on people that we’re just starting to see. I loved that Adult World kind of assessed all of that.
What about Amy did you identify with most?
I mean, I’m coming out of it, but I definitely identified with being that age where you’re not an adult and you’re not a kid. I just turned 23 Tuesday and I was driving and thought, So what do people do when they’re 23, like what is it? Amy kind of has that thing, she knows exactly what she’s doing and where she’s going and then it slowly kind of falls to like, Wait what am I really going to do?
First off added candids from Emma and Evan leaving the Largo in LA on February 9th, check out below if haven’t seen yet. Tribeca Film has dated “Palo Alto,” the debut feature from Gia Coppola, for a May 9 opening in New York and Los Angeles, followed by a national release.
“Palo Alto” screened last year in the Venice, Telluride and Toronto film festivals, and Tribeca Film picked up U.S. rights in December. Coppola is the granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola and niece of Sofia Coppola.
The film is a James Franco and Rabbit Bandini Prods. presentation, produced by Sebastian Pardo, Adriana Rotaru, Miles Levy and Vince Jolivette and based on several linked stories in James Franco’s book of the same name about a group of high school students.
Franco stars with Emma Roberts, Jack Kilmer, Nat Wolff, Zoe Levin, Chris Messina and Val Kilmer with three storylines — a young woman (Roberts) caught between flirting with her soccer coach (Franco) and a relationship with a teen stoner (Jack Kilmer); another about a promiscuous young woman (Levin); and a third about the stoner and his possibly dangerous best friend (Wolff).
Emma Roberts has joined the cast of Sam Worthington‘s upcoming film For The Dogs, JustJared.com can exclusively confirm.
The 22-year-old actress would take on the role of a college girl named Ella Hatto, replacing Hailee Steinfeld in the Jonathan Mostow directed thriller, which starts shooting in March/April in Germany.

For The Dogs centers on “an assassin who agrees to help a college girl (Roberts) exact revenge on the murderers of her parents and younger brother.”

Need to get your Emma Roberts/Evan Peters fix on the big screen? Well, your wish will be granted this Valentine’s Day.
MTV News has the exclusive first look at the poster for real-life couple’s upcoming flick “Adult World.” The poster not only features Roberts, looking chic in her big hat and comfy scarf, and a smiling Peters, but also their co-star John Cusack.
The February flick is an indie comedy about a girl (Roberts) who ends up a working at an adult-video store. That just might explain why she’s holding up a DVD titled “Passion” in the poster. Peters plays the store’s manager; meanwhile, Roberts is a struggling poet. “When life gets hard, rise to the occasion,” the film’s tagline reads. Double entendre indeed!
“Adult World” played at the Tribeca Film Festival last year. IFC Films will release the film in theaters nationwide as well as on VOD and to digital outlets on February 14.
The flick will hit theaters two weeks after the season finale of “American Horror Story: Coven,” which currently stars Roberts and Peters. The FX anthology series’ season-three finale airs on January 29.
“You can expect a lot of ups and downs with Madison. She’s very likable one minute and then she kind of turns on you the next,” Roberts teased late last year about her role on the show as bad-girl witch Madison. “So it’s actually been fun for me because every week I’m like ‘Ooh, what is she gonna do? Is she gonna be a bitch? Is she gonna be nice?’ And it’s been really fun to play with.”
In addition to their acting projects together, Roberts and Peters got engaged earlier this month.
I added two posters below, one is the official and one is fan made (can tell since Evan name is spelled wrong) but a photo is used never seen before.
